When I was in the depths of my CFS, I had a sticker on my mobility scooter that said “Yes, I have tried yoga. No, it didn’t work.” because I was so frustrated at being asked all the time by people who seemingly thought that yoga can cure just about anything. However, as today’s guest will talk about, it turns out there’s so many different types of yoga, some of which aren’t even physical, so it’s likely there will be a type out there that might help you – even just a little bit!
Joining me today is Sayeeda Alam, who I’ve known for a few years now, and we actually recorded this episode on location while having a bit of a break together in Devon on the coast. Sayeeda is a dedicated yoga teacher and Ayurvedic lifestyle advisor passionate about holistic well-being. Through the transformative power of Yoga and Ayurveda, she overcame personal struggles with addiction, mental health, and chronic illness. Inspired by her journey, she guides others on their unique path toward personal growth, & self-discovery offering tailored practices and ancient wisdom to enhance vitality and restore balance in body and mind.
Sayeeda’s journey to being, in her words, 95% healed really is inspiring when you consider where she started out, and I hope that you enjoy our conversation as much as I did!
In this episode, we’re chatting about:
How yoga was essential for Sayeeda to begin to heal and how you can find the type of yoga that works for you
